Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset, President of Mansoura University, Prof. Ashraf Tarek Hafez, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Mohamed Attia, Vice President for education and Student Affairs, received a delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Mauritania in Cairo to discuss common scientific and academic cooperation on Sunday, January 26, 2021 The delegation included Mr. Wadady Ould Sidi Hebe, Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritania in Cairo, and Dr. Mukhtar Gilani, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy.
The meeting dealt with ways to increase the number of students from Mauritania studying at Mansoura University, and the cooperation between the International Relations Office with the embassy to increase undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by Mansoura University.
Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset confirmed that Mansoura University is interested in opening fields of academic, research and cultural cooperation with all African universities within the framework of the state's direction to deepen partnership and cooperation with African countries.
In this concern, the Ambassador of Mauritania expressed his happiness to visit the ancient Mansoura University, and his aspiration to allow researchers and students of the Republic of Mauritania to study in Mansoura University, as it comes the first on the Egyptian universities in the latest classification for the second year.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Tamer Abu Al-Saad, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Hussam El-Din Mostafa, Supervisor of the International Students’ office, Dr. Mohamed Al-Refai, Director of the International Relations Office.
